I was born an raised in Fairfax, Va., attended school at Western Kentucky University to pursue a career in photojournalism, then found myself bouncing around the ever-shifting landscape of digital media.
After starting my career with internships at newspapers in Michigan and Indiana as a photographer, I transitioned to sports media to cover the Nashville Predators. This led to my eventual role as Digital Producer/SEO Strategist with The Tennessean and the USA TODAY Network.
After the pandemic, I decided to pursue a lifelong passion (heavy metal) and now currently work as a host and writer for Knotfest.com, where I interview artists to tell their story behind the music.
When not writing about heavy metal, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our two dogs, watching the Washington Capitals, reading and going on long walks.
